I've had my computer for 3 yers now and have been very happy with it. I plan on giving it to a family member and buying a new one. I want to reformat the computer but i see only a drivers disk and cyberlink disk. I see a booklet for windows 7 but no disk. Did they originally send a disk with this computer? Or is it backed up on the harddrive? I might have misplaced it..

    Thanks

could be that u have a hidden recovery partition on your hard disk. check with a tool like aomei partition assistant if such a partition exists on your hdd. if thats the case, ull be able to enter it during boot pressing one of the F buttons (could be F7 for boot options, not sure though, it should show u which one it is)

Oh i found the disk.. thank goodness..

Another question on drivers. Is there a good free program that will report new drivers to me. My computer now is pretty much up to date on drivers. I know Drivermax always seemed to work well http://download.cnet.com/DriverMax/3000-18513_4-10572602.html
But last time i updated it i think it installed some pups on me..

Mostly unless you have an issue it's only the graphics drivers for new titles that you need to update on a regular basis.

tbh, ive never used the direct download function there, just use it to check for versions and then look for those manually via google :)
