    Hi All,

I have a Rock X770 laptop (Clevo M570RU) that I wish to sell so I can buy a more up-to-date PC. It has some damage/faults so I wonder if I would be likely to get more money by breaking it down and selling the good parts.

    Model: Rock Extreme X770
    CPU: Intel Core2Duo T7500 (2.2GHz)
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX 512MB
    RAM: 4 GB
    CD: DVD/RW
    HDD: 500GB Seagate Momentus XT

    Faults:

The screen has failed as it has several vertical coloured lines. Graphics card is perfect however, an external monitor runs fine.
Battery case is cracked and battery life is poor (around 30 mins)
Keyboard has several keys that don't work.
Bad connection on audio out (headphone) Jack as it mostly gives mono audio output (stereo when port is wiggled)

    So the good parts are:
    The chassis and case
    Webcam
    Motherboard
    Graphics card
    Wireless card
LCD Inverter is likely fine also
    Touchpad and buttons
    Power Supply
    HDD
LCD hinges and latches are fine
    All USB ports work

Anyone any ideas on my best course of action and how much I could likely sell the parts for?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    hi steve
i think your best bet is selling as spare parts but for a 3-4 year old you sadly wont get much.
i will be in the same boat soon as thinking of upgrading my 3 year old m860tu

you could always post it here on nbr the market place NBR Marketplace
