I pulled the trigger and ordered a NP5760 from Powernotebooks this past Tuesday. Originally I had my sights set on the 9750, but after owning one laptop based off a desktop processor (eMachines M5903) I was hesitant. That being said, I needed a notebook that would pull double duty for work and play. The NP5960 was my second choice, but the abysmal battery life brought me to the 5760 (despite by AMD loyalty).
Ron Baird and the Powernotebooks folks answered every question I could think of in a very timely manner impressing me greatly. After placing my order an hour before they closed, Ron gave me a call to confirm my order and noticed I had chosen next day air for shipping. I had hoped to receive the notebook on Monday or Tuesday this coming week. To my surprise Ron offered to get it to me by the weekend. And I am happy to report the UPS truck pulled up right as I was pulling out for work. Now for a bit of crunchy bits.

After patching windows, updating the video drivers and applying the dual core hotfix (the latest one from 12/18), I was very pleased with the results I was getting. All runs were executed with Wireless/Bluetooth disabled. Video drivers I was able to get working are from Tweaksrus.com; the XTreme-G MobileForce XP 97.44 G3 revision. So far I have not run into a problem beyond a few oddities in Oblivion.

Awesome!! Pictures =D

congrats on the new rig,
that notebook should be awesome judging by the benchmarks.
If possible, you could do another step to make a review of this notebook for this forum. It would be very much appreciated for people that were researching for a gaming notebook.
Here are the parameters:

Here is a review of the same notebook (an example for you):

Congrats, those are some insane scores!

Wow, a year of lurking? I'm glad everything worked out for you and must congratulate you on your purchase. That's some machine you got there.
A review would be awesome too if you're up to it. -
Nice choice! Both on notebook and reseller. PowerNotebooks was a pleasure to deal with for me too.
I browsed and researched my purchase for around 10 months before buying. NBR is the place for notebook info. -
Great Purchase
Also good thing about PowerNotebooks.com is Paladin of PN comes here often
And thanks for the benchmark scores.
From what I see, the Initial Sager I got w/ the 7900GTX 256mb CPU and Intel Core Duo 1 2.0ghx CPU is not much different performance wise with the newer model.
This helps in my decision to just upgrade my CPU to Merom a few months after Vista goes live and not even bother with a GPU upgrade.
Here is a summary of the Benchmarks I did w/ my system to help show comparison:
Sager 5760: 17" WSXGA+
T2500 Core Duo
100gb Hitachi 7200RPM HDD
2gb DDR2 667 RAM
Nvidia go7900GTX 256mb
Super PI: 1m 16s
3DMark05: 8111
3DMark06: 4631
PCMark05: 4895
PS:
I spent probably around an entire year researching and lurking here myself -
Those are some awesome benchmarks. Congrats on your purchase!

That's beautiful, congratulations on your machines. I also bought my Sager from PowerNotebooks, and they were wonderful 110% of the way.
Once again, congratulations and enjoy. It doesn't get any better than that. -
I do plan on writting up a review once I get a bit more accustomed to it.
