instead of the 980m in device manager. I have uninstalled video drivers, downloaded the newest from nVidia and get a weird one there too. See the attached for what I am seeing.

I am going to download the video drivers from Clevo directly and install them there and see what happens. Windows 8.1 64-bit.

    Went from a 970m G-sync to my Clevo 980m from a P750ZM.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

Use DDU -> boot in safe mode and let it uninstall the display driver. Which Nvidia driver version are you using by the way?

I actually had to do a lot more than that to get it to work. I had to do what this video shows:

My video card has the 13D7&SUBSYS_77011558 ID.

Video is still a bit underwhelming - blurry and such but I don't know if that is because it is a G-Sync display without a G-Sync card or if there is something else going on. :( At least it is recognizing it as a 980m now and I can load Ark Survival Evolved on it. :)

Worst case for me will be to downgrade back to the 970m g-sync card. I would rather not do that if I can avoid it.

Try a modded set from laptopvideo2go with driver signing in windows disabled.

Meaker, basically what the video shows except I did the modding on my own. :)

Pretty much, but it's a bit easier for a beginner.

I am FAR from a beginner. ;) :p Although this is my 4th Clevo, I have been building my own PCs since 286 days....Mine had SIPP memory on it. :p
