well, it has always been known that clevo were always quality conscious.. so i'd take it that they were testing the machine out so that users won't be disappointed. from what i know, sager and its resellers (i'm not saying all) don't charge this 'restocking fee' i last read of when some m15x people wanted a full refund their m15x. this being said, the money you 'lose' when you make a full cash refund is the shipping costs, and sager nor its resellers do not benefit from this.. only the shipping company does. sager also 'loses' time and effort(effort = effort to build the computers and test them, etc = manpower = salary = money). this way, its both a lose lose situation for the company as well as for the consumers.

if so, why would clevo release it, as it doesn't benefit anyone except the shipping company?

so... my take is that they really put their effort into making, building and testing their products... oh wells, we'll see when more 8660 arrives..

my opinion on this to OP: wait for more 8660 reviews (quite a few should be popping out this week), then make your decision. you already know the good (or more of the bad) of the m15x..

if you can ignore battery life... then the NP8660 is already the clear winner just by reading basic reviews of the M860tu/np8660

if u can put up with getting 2 8cell batters for your np8660 / m860tu and swapping them.. then i think its fair to say you will have a notebook thats superior to the m15x in every single last way.. other than branding and possible resale value (unsure as the m15x and alienware reputation is basically ruined i think)..

the fact that alienware staff have joked to me about how bad the m15x is... was the point that i said HELLL NO
