Hi all new to these sub forums but i currently have a m18xR2 with specs in signature and i have been thinking i would like to downgrade to a 15" Laptop as i don't really play heaps of games and it would be
far more portable. I'm in Australia so i would either have to import or buy at a Aus reseller? Which models would you recommend in the 15" range and something i would require is a MXM graphics card so i could upgrade gpu down the track. I have been looking at the http://www.originpc.com.au/System/EON15-S but unsure if this is a rebadged Clevo? Any help would be great

That origin laptop is a rebadged clevo (P150EM), however I would hold on to what you currently own and wait until the new gen of clevos arrive (P15*SM). They will still have MXM and boards will run haswell cpus.

I'm in located in Australia too and got mine from a local supplier. The clevo's are badged as Horize here. I got mine from FragLabs, other vendors around like Logic Blue One, P4Laptops and Affordable laptops. Affordable laptops are advertising the P15*SM series already so you can take a quick look to see if you like.

I agree with kingyr, the P150SM/157SM (Sager NP8250) which is a 15.6" and MXM socket with the Haswell CPU, they are available now so you dont have to wait.

AFAIK, illuminated touch pad and an extra 2.5" hdd bay. Might be a little more - prolly check the manual for clearer differences, just a bit of reading lol.

what kingyr said :) the rest is just design (more bling on the 157sm, whereas the 150 looks more business-like) that extra 2.5" bay also comes with an (albeit slight) increase in weight and dimensions. were talking like 100g and a couple of mm more :p

The P157SM has more "gamer appeal", if you will. :) kingyr and jaybee are right about the technical and aesthetic differences; the machines are fairly comparable.
