    Hello there,

since a few days there is a new Benchmark out - no, not only the new "3DMark" but the All Benchmark "Catzilla", which is still Beta.
Though there is already a thread at the graphic cards forum http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...l-new-gpu-benchmark-coming-soon-catzilla.html
since many of us only post in the clevo-forum, I thought we can make our own thread.
Infos and Download you can finde here:
    http://www.allbenchmark.com/

So here are my results, all are at this moment with a SINGLE GTX 680m because one of my SLI setup is defective and sent back to the reseller.
VBios is 80.04.33.10 (stock clocks), driver 313.96:

So, what are your results (and maybe temps)?

    Will do someoverclocking soon...

Pretty good. The K5000 seems to be a pretty mean overclockable card :D.

    @Jaybee83
Yes, I paid the few bucks to run it ;).

I tried to use the 1,025 and 1,05V vBios for GTX 680m from him, but they have totally different ID´s etc. and I only got a black screen after flashing. Could go back with blind flashing, but it seems I can´t get over 970 on core clock with stock voltage. :(

The X7200 was/ is really a remarkable notebook and I got some kind of attached to it.
But my next notebook will probably be something like the P370EM (maybe the P370SM?), because mobile CPUs have become very powerful since Sandy Bridge and seem to be a lot better to overclock. I use the X7200 mainly for gaming (with a friend in a café we play LAN and now even Online via mobile Internet), so it was the perfect choice two years ago if you want maximum graphics and power AND mobility) and for that the todays mobile CPU´s seem to be good enough-though I hope that after Haswell there will be sixcore mobile CPUs out there, too :D.
Though the P570WM IS a great notebook, just for gaming it´s not necessary. And the cooling of the CPU will not allow much space to overclock as it is with the X7200.
Only thing I will miss are the 3 Harddiskbays. I really use them all, so many games, videos und music...

Who needs an internal optical drive anyway Tirenz ;)

The 3940xm is an impressive CPU for clocking but you really pay for it.

Ah, so there is a possibility to use the optical drive bay for another hdd? :D

Yes, but P570WM with i7-3960x is about 500€ more than a similiar config of the P370EM with 3940XM- and if you "just" take a i73840qm you save about 1000€ ;). (took a short look at configs at the MySN shop).
Don´t know if it will be the same prices with Haswell, though.

    @Tirenz,

I need a bench platform and not a nice laptop. Only x7200/P570WM have such efficient cooling system for both GPU. Moreover, 3930K which I already have is more than enough. Do not buy a P370EM. Its OC/OV capabilities because of thermal design leaves much to be desired. ;)

Yes, the cooling system of the X7200 is great.
Right now I am staying with my X7200, but who knows what will be next in 6 months or a year... I think than it will be time for something new, so I´ll see what I can get then ;).

What do you mean by you "need a bench platform"? Do you do benches for some websites, journals or just for fun?

I take M18x into consideration too. But its cooling system is so good that there is nothing to improve. ;)

Weird, because I am able to run Tiger without buying on my NP9150, but on the NP9570 that I'm reviewing it won't let me go above Cat. I haven't bought it either.

Plus if I go to buy it, it won't let me. It says "select country" but there's nothing to choose.

Wow. I don't think my SLI is working properly with this benchmark I'm getting about half those scores with the NP9570.

edit: nevermind I think I got it. I had to force "alternate frame rendering 1" to get it to work.

Can´t wait to see a whole bunch of benches of the P570WM :D. Will do some comparison between my X7200 ;).

Nice. I can't flash a new vBIOS on this machine (understandable) so will have to use whatever software methods are available to me. And yeah, a few comparison benchmarks would be nice. I'm running this up against my desktop i5-3570k and GTX 670 to see how they compare. And may likely throw in my NP9150 results into it too just to show improvement over a single GPU and an entry level mobile CPU.

I will then just do some benches at the same clocks (graphic cards) you will do, so we have something similiar to compare.

Here are some 4.7GHz and 4.6GHz runs to compare with a P570WM. Catzilla is a pretty awesome benchmark... really like it.

I just downloaded and installed the latest RC2 and it won't accept my upgrade code that I used for all the other versions. Anyone else have that issue?

edit: bah nevermind, it seems they issued a new code for RC2. Just had to log in and there it was.

    That´s insane!
You made my X7200 look like a newspaper of last year... :nah:

Would really be interesting what the scores of an overclocked P570WM would be... Anyone?
My feeling tells me that the Alienware will still be the champion because of the 4.7 GHz... the P570WM will not go that high...

Hello Tirenz. I would like to see that, too. It would be awesome if someone would be able to fully unlock the Clevo system BIOS. I don't understand why that has not been possible, but I know it has been attempted. The only reason the Alienware can run this fast is because of the unlocked BIOS. Otherwise, it would not overclock better... it would be the same as other laptops with the same CPU.

    Hi Mr. Fox,

are you sure the P570WM could go much higher than 4 GHz?
My X7200 has an unlocked BIOS but I´ve got blue screens at most benches with 4 GHz... though the temps were good, never passed 81°... could be the same with the P570WM. But we´ll never know as long as no one will try this...

As far as I know, it is not encrypted, it is only compiled (in modules Insyde H2O).
Simply, there are no assembler specialists in our community.

It should be able to go higher if all of the right settings are available. After all, 3.8GHz is stock for 3920XM, and 3.9GHz is stock for 3940XM, so 4.0GHz is not an amazing feat with those two processors. With either CPU, you should be able to reach 4.0GHz with a simple bump in BCLK. What BSOD do you see? Most of the time, 0x124 means more voltage is required and 0x01E can mean not enough voltage (Flex VID) or watts/amps (Pri Plane). If XTU works with the P570WM, one should be able to do some degree of overclocking with a stock BIOS. The most important setting that needs to be accessible with the InsydeH20 BIOS is the MSR Lock, which needs to be set to disabled. If that can be disabled, XTU can be used without entering the BIOS to change settings. On the Alienware M18x R1/R2 the menu with the MSR Lock is hidden with a stock BIOS. If the MSR Lock is set to enabled, the watts/amperage adjustments will be ignored. Increasing voltage without increasing amps will prevent the CPU clock speeds from ramping up and the clock speeds will drop under load if the amps are too low.

Has anyone checked with svl7 about unlocking the Clevo BIOS on newer systems? My assumption is yes, and he may have already tried, but if not it would not hurt to ask if nobody has ever done so. If memory serves me correctly, svl7 has attempted it with the X7200 BIOS and something prevented him from being able to do it. But, I don't remember what the impediment was.
