    Hai guise,

As many of you remember I had a bit of an altercation with NEXOC about whether blowing up my M570RU was my fault, or a warranty issue. After they claimed to have found something sticky underneath the keyboard plate, I indeed backed down, accepted their argument something was spilled into the machine, and let them get on with sending it in to their mobo repair shop.

So far the story. Today I spoke to them and they had just received the machine back, and were testing it. They said it was noted a new BIOS was installed, so they assume the mobo was swapped -- AT NO COST to them. Also, for whatever god-forsaken reason, the screen was replaced as well.

Total cost to me: their cleaning fee, plus VAT, total 35 euros. They sent the machine back today, and I should have it next week :)

My 8800M GTX isn't in stock yet, but it should also arrive next week and I'll pay for it separately and install it myself... 500 Euros + VAT :O but that's my treat to myself for all this trouble.

    So long,

    - Stefan

Nexoc was also very kind to me... They sent me the German keyboard in less the 12 hours for a good price. Then they sent me also a gratis logo to put on the empty space.

that is fantastic news, the other great thing about it, is they sent the mobo back to their supplier saying it had failed, the supplier replaced it no questions
and they still passed the savings onto you.....

they need to get 5*****'s for that,

    glad its all working out.

now keep your darn heatsinks and fans clean!!!

From the pictures I saw I think Dexgo hit it on the head. It was probobly nicotine damage that put that layer of gunk on it as well as that funky color dust. You may want to consider smoking away from your laptop once you get it back.

Glad it all worked out for you ;).
