How do you know you are getting new parts and not used/refurb parts when you order a new laptop?
Am I being paranoid?

No, I don't think you're being paranoid at all. I wouldn't be surprised at all for the amazing price you get for these laptops. Not saying they are refurb but just saying (as an owner of a clevo laptop)
The clevo I have I'm not too happy with but thats more drivers and AMD's fault than anyones.... Thinking more and more about RMA'ing this because I don't know how much more time I'm willing to spend on this vs. every other laptop I've owned which never had these problems ever. -
^ Sucks to hear that. I switched to Nvidia a good while ago. I've noticed not many go from Nvidia to AMD though and I think there's good reason for that
Anyway as long as everything is clean and working I'm not sure there's a difference between new/refurb. Manufacture date is usually less than 1 year ago and everything has the same warranty -
ummmm idk about you but I want new parts...if they use refurb they should specify, I'm buying a new laptop to me that means new everything.....if I wanted a refurb I'd get one....hmmmm

I think there is a law for them selling used parts in a new machine or product. THe mattress tags that say "DO NOT REMOVE" "CONTAINS NEW MATERIAL ONLY" I think if they got caught they would be severely punished. I bought a BB gun from a store and had them install an upgraded barrel and I think they sold me a used barrel that had some severe wear as the BB wouldn't shoot straight. Looked more like a shotgun that a machine gun pattern when shooting. Not much I could do though, retailer was from USA and I am in Canada.

Oh no...we were never told that these are brand new.
Always wondered
