    Hello everyone,

I know the temps of the NP8660 have been discussed a great deal, but I'd like to address one that hasn't gotten much discussion.

I have an NP8660 with the T8400 (i think) processor and 9800M GT. I was playing the Left 4 Dead demo and monitored the temps. Mostly, they were very good. The GPU maxed at about 72 degrees, HDD 50 degrees and the CPU 52 degrees. All my research says that these temps are decent for gaming and good in general for the comp. However, there is a TZ0 temp in CPUID and I'm not sure what this is.

Typically, TZ0 idles at around 42-45 degrees, and it hit a peak of 73 degrees while playing the L4D demo. What is this? Is it something to be concerned about? Are there ways to improve this temperature? Is it something to be concerned about for the longevity of my computer?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    GamblinMan

the hard drive max is 65c

this pic is just from iddling (taken before updated patch for temps)

Elaborating on the info from MrDJ, the TZ0 or acpi temp is from a thermal sensor on the motherboard (under the chip) whereas the individual core temps are from sensore on the cpu itself.
