I would love to see a D900/D901 with a Penryn quad core CPU and ATI 38xx mobile graphics. I want to use it for video processing, not for gaming.
The Penryn SSE4 instructions are very useful for video processing.
The ATI graphics cards are better for video processing than Nvidia cards, and they have HDMI output with true HDMI audio chips. That means they can also output HDCP protected high quality audio.
Dear retailers, any chance on such a beast?

It will have a Penryn CPU, but you'll have to wait a bit for it.
As far as ATi cards go, I haven't seen any of them in a Clevo. -

probably wont happen on a laptop non-amd...

The last Clevo/Sager model I saw with an ATI GPU was my 8790 3 1/2 years ago.
Nvidia has pretty much been lovin' Clevo. -
Yeah, sure, maybe those cards are great, but they haven't released a convincing model.
People tend to avoid ATi because their site doesn't offer any drivers for mobile versions. Not that nVidia's site does, but at least you can easily get them modded (at LV2Go). -
The last ATI card for a Clevo was for X800, which was in the previous Clevo D900T/K models.
MXM is mainly backed by Nvidia, ATI may use a similar module, but their VBIOS is usually proprietary. -

Sure there is, I've used it...but something just didn't feel right to me. I have an ATi card on my desktop and I just love it, but still, the drivers kinda suck.

ATI has announced the Radeon Mobility HD3600 and HD3400 Series. Nice graphics, PCIe 2.0, Direct X10.1, HDMI, and hardware support for video transcoding. Combine this with a new Penryn ready motherboard, e-SATA connectors etc., and it will be a nice upgrade.

Not for a D901C.
Any chance for a D900 with ATI and Penryn?
