So I bought an NP5790 back in the summer of 2007. It's treated me well over the years. The past few weeks though, during games my computer freezes, flashes black and then comes back, saying something along the lines of "Nvidia driver has failed and recovered successfully." After a lot of research, I have found that it could be anything from a crappy video driver to hardware issues with the GPU. My GPU (7950 GTX) isn't overheating, this happens when it's at 60C. I've tried numerous drivers, to no avail. Is there anything I can do short of replacing the graphics card? I was planning on getting a new computer in a couple months, so I don't really want to spend too much money saving this one.

For the record, I used to be on Windows 7 64-bit, but now I'm on 32-bit.

You could try baking your GPU (google it)

Yeah...that scares me. It seems that quite a few people have had success with it, but it still scares me. It's not like it's completely unusable as it is now. When it's not being stressed there's no issue. For example, I've never had any problems just web browsing/word processing, stuff like that. It's only when I try to play a game, and then it poses somewhat of a problem.
