So I bought an NP5790 back in the summer of 2007. It's treated me well over the years. The past few weeks though, during games my computer freezes, flashes black and then comes back, saying something along the lines of "Nvidia driver has failed and recovered successfully." After a lot of research, I have found that it could be anything from a crappy video driver to hardware issues with the GPU. My GPU (7950 GTX) isn't overheating, this happens when it's at 60C. I've tried numerous drivers, to no avail. Is there anything I can do short of replacing the graphics card? I was planning on getting a new computer in a couple months, so I don't really want to spend too much money saving this one.
For the record, I used to be on Windows 7 64-bit, but now I'm on 32-bit.

You could try baking your GPU (google it)

Any hope for my NP5790?
