I'm having a hard time finding much information about the P7x0ZM. Is there at least any speculation about the price or date of release (hopefully in time for Black Friday sales). Considering the battery which is fairly important to me I'm more looking at the P750ZM or P770ZM, but I rarely find any information or pictures about it.

the man to contact about this is prema, also look for his "imagine new clevo models" thread over at techinferno in the clevo section, theyre discussing these models over there
iirc they should be available before the holidays, no exact date yet though.
definitely some very interesting machines if u ask me!steberg and Fluffy_Raptor like this. -
Hi I found first photo of CLEVO P751ZM, it's looks very nice and stylish looks like mixed P177SM and W230SS. For sure it's a next king of performance !!

damn, this machine looks really nice and sleek! makes me start having doubts about the P651SG that i ordered, ugh

Personally not really liking the look of the laptop. Usually when I think of Clevo I think of laptops that neutral in terms of looks, and in my opinion that is the best look. The slight point at the top really bugs me along with some other minor things. Of course you dont buy Clevo for looks but this would really bother me, though it seems fairly trivial. Im sure when they come out with more pictures it will look better then what Im perceiving it. I do how ever really like the look of the Clevo's P6X1 SE.
-
There are more pics published now..
. Not sure about the pointed lid.looks like batman's laptop lol. Can't wait to see the internals -
it seems like this is the new clevo style, since the design is pretty similar to the P6xxSx series (@pointed lid, batman style! who DOESNT love batman?!?!?! :-D )

That machine doesn't look like it supports SLI models. It should have way more vents in the back, considering the P570WM model's design.
-
nope it doesnt, its a desktop cpu/one mxm gpu series
i would really like to know the ETA and especially the dimensions on this thing. its probably just the viewing angles of the pics but it actually looks pretty slim for a desktop cpu system... -
If this is the case, nobody should buy this on release. Since my D900F came out and got replaced VERY shortly afterward with the X7200 and all my parts were proprietary and I could never find replacements outside of this, I would caution people against this single GPU model. next thing you know, next year there'll be a new model with SLI cards and a 450W brick XD.
-
not sure i understand your reasoning....ure suggesting not to get this machine, because it not supporting SLI makes it obsolete way faster? why?
-
-
I would imagine Clevo are doing this so that going forwards we have a P150/P170 equivalent with a replaceable CPU.

Also including an unlocked CPU is a lot cheaper than a mobile extreme.
-
discontinuing the p150/170 series would only make sense if the ZM series indeed has comparable dimensions and pricing
the supplied 230w psu already gives hope, since the p170 comes with identical wattage. altho it wouldnt leave much room for ocing if a 130w cpu + 100w gpu is used...maybe theyll restrict the type of desktop cpus one can use with the stock psu...

I think given the target the 4670K type CPU would be most popular.

Get the k and tune the power levels yourself, intel don't really bin for lower power cores, they just edit the settings and sell it at an inflated price.
-
If they're doing consumer desktop CPUs in mobile form factors that's not bad at all. I thought this was an extreme CPU model.
-
depending on the cpu cooling and weight.,.. this could be the next steam box. smaller dimensions than mITX rigs same performance.
I wonder what the battery life is like lol -
-
Crap...just when I was closing in on a decision this is born. I think what I"m going to have to do is contact someone from our company who has direct contact w/ the Clevo Designers since his company orders tons of their high end models for VM use and showcasing software/training, he claimed he had a huge discussion w/ them in the past on changes needed and I guess they listened due to the volume that they purchase. Any time his teams come out they ALL have Clevo's lol, its just pure beautiful. Maybe he'll be able to obtain some information.
BM Clevo P751ZM – pierwsze zdjęcia! | CLEVO – BLOG Technologiczny BLUEMOBILITY is all I found, however from the description, it seriously reminds me of Clevo's flagship d900 series back in the day. That seriously was their main and best seller in my opinion.
Anyone remember Clevo's 19" laptop that held up to 3 GPUs? LOL My roomate bought it back in 2006
http://www.bluemobility.pl/clevo-m-36.html heres the pre order page. If anyone knows how to contact them in their language we could get more info.
According to their facebook they might have it up for preorder tomorrow which means its coming out soon. -

Those machines will not last 1 hour. Probably 40 mins tops. You're basically on a UPS at that point. -
-
A desktop CPU at anything from 65W to 95W would kill the battery like crazy, similar to how my i7-950 killed my battery in my D900F back in the day. It doesn't matter if it downclocks or uses optimus. The minimum power drain is still high.ghegde likes this. -
prema published the dimensions on the P570ZM over at techinferno, u wont believe it: its THINNER than the p150/170 series at 36 vs. 43 mm and just half a cm longer and one cm wider!
this is getting more and more difficult for me to stick to my p651sg order... *argh*
btw, with an 88w cpu + 100w gpu u can be sure theyll use the 230w psu... -
(I'm being really distrustful of all manufacturers right now) -
I like the styling, but I have to say it seems like they ripped off GT72 a bit (who in turn clearly took styling cues from Alienware...) But those vents at the back were clearly ripped from the speaker grilles of the M18x.
Also, my opinion is this machine isn't worth getting unless it supports the 4790K. And is it just me or does this machine look frighteningly thin? Look at the RJ45 jack to see what I'm talking about.
If 4790K is supported I expect one will have to delid the damn thing to keep thermals in check if overclocking.D2 Ultima likes this. -
and yes, the 4790K would be exactly the CPU i would be getting for this model
concerning the thickness, check the numbers above, its insane how they made it even thinner than the P150/170 series. but it actually is heavier by 300 grams compared with the P150, so maybe they used a lot more copper in there to keep the system cool. would be a good trade-off imho...

theyre finally realizing that optical drives are a dying tech

Can we expect November release?

Finally Full Specification of CLEVO P751ZM revealed: here
230W AC Adapter confirmed !, 3,4 kg of weight. It looks like that I already know which my next notebook will be -
-
sweet, it does indeed support the 4790K
and wow, it even has TWO PCIe-compatible M.2 slots, although only one of them is capable of 4x!
it doesnt seem to support optimus though. still, 130 min of battery life is quite decent without switchable graphics and a desktop cpu
gah! this gets harder and harder! basically the same config options as the P65x series, just with desktop CPU, MXM GPU (double vRAM) and an additional PCIe M.2 slot....
now the only thing missing would be an ETA... seriously, if it indeed is just around the corner, coming out in december or january, i might seriously consider cancelling my current order... -
I wonder how you can lose so much weight so quickly. What was it at the expense of? Have silicon molecules lost mass recently? Lost optical drive accounts for 100 grams, where's the rest?
Also... this will be a pain finding Win 7 drivers for. I remember trying to get XP running on a W870 and straight off the hotkeys didn't work, and when they did after a few hours of fun they didn't display properly (you had to guess if bluetooth was on, for example, though it was on). Then I got all my old games working in XP mode, then patches came out for Win 7, but it all took time. -
Sweet rig, its bigger brother P770ZM is the one I will be interested in though, can't wait for some pics to leak, happy Clevo is finally innovating again was tired of seeing those same old lazy refreshes . .
-
This Laptop ticks so many boxes , it's too good to be true. I wonder if the catch is price
-
yep, same here. ETA and pricing, pronto please!
-
It'll be around 10% more expensive than current P17x/15x pricing.
-
My local polish reseller already published a prices for PREORDER P751ZM: BM P751ZM Configurator
Price is not so bad, remember that you can always buy in very good prices i7 and i5 desktop processors. -
I configured to my needs and price comes to 10450zl that's around £1950
ETA 15th December 2014 (15 grudzień 2014)
I think i can wait for that... -
8300 zl for my config = 2900 AUD
Hmmmm a bit on the higher side considering p650se is 2100 aud with similar config
Any information on the new Clevo P7x0ZM?
