This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is Sager/Clevo going to release a new model anytime soon like from this month up to January next year? I'm checking if its a good time to buy a 17" laptop now from them or wait a few months and get the latest. I'm in no hurry anyway.. But I have to get a new laptop by January next year.

    Also Windows 8 is slated to be released next year, from the information floating around now they would be making Windows 8 optimized for touch inputs. I would like it if the laptop I'm going to buy can use the new features that Windows 8 would bring. I don't want to be stuck with a powerful laptop that has been outdated by its OS. I would to hear what you guys think about this.

    New model will come out after release of Ivy Bridge (pending any delays, it's scheduled to release March '12).

    Yep, lazard is right. Traditionally we've seen Sager models refreshed after CPU refreshes.

    Someone posted a few pages back about an np8200/P180HM. A new 18" laptop. Not sure if it will be out before the refresh or not.

    and what about the P270wm with sandy bridge E processors. Last road map had the cpu's and the desktop chipset coming out around November. Will the new P270wm be out around that same time?
