This newly released beast looks totally awesome to me. I love the AMD processor and the 7800 GTX. It is heavy but boy it should be able to play any game you throw at it for a long while to come.

    For me, the 9750 is...

    Too big
    Too heavy
    Too expensive

But, it's probably the most powerful notebook ever built.

Well of course it would have to be a desktop replacement model but I still think this would be a great machine if I could afford it (which I can't).

Yes, it has to be at the top of the most powerful notebooks. :p Definitely agreed there.

It's just another revision of the popular Clevo D900 series. Huge, hot, and heavy. I would really recommend checking out the Sager NP-5720 - a good deal sleeker, better battery life, and cooler running.

But of course, if you need the most powerful computer you can get and don't have room for a desktop....this may very well be a decent choice.

    Cheers,

yeah...it's one big bad boy but you get what you pay for, twin opticals, twin HDD, magnificent 17" screen and the weight to go with it...but also the 1st dual core and 64 bit, if that matters... :amd64:

if you want lighter weight with the same gpu power, m170 or the 5720.

    ;)

I'd rather have the upgradeability of a real desktop machine and the better cooling of a real desktop machine than one of these... If you're a LAN party maniac, though, this would be a heck of a drool-inspirer.
