Recently got myself a P750DM-G with 1080p panel.
While I've been tinkering I've come across what appears to be a 64hz soft-limit enforced on the panel. Custom resolutions currently only allow me to go to 64hz.
I'm thinking it's a software/TCON limit since it doesn't blur out like other panels often do when going past their limits. 64hz is also a fairly common limit people run into with other panels.
Has anyone ever managed to get around this before?

Why do you think it's a soft limit? Every panel like every chip is different, they wont blur after a certain point always and can just stop working.

You right, some laptop like samsung in the past lock their screen Hz. To unlock it, you had to use osd trick to remove unlock. But these days, you can use nvidia to boost Hz. Did you test from nvidia panel?
I was able to reach 110Hz without problem but i didn't try more and i kept 100Hz before i bought a 120Hz. Maybe your nvidia driver lock it, try 358.50 or 359.0.TomJGX and i_pk_pjers_i like this. -
Any way around 64hz panel limits? (LG LP156WF6)
