I got my 5793 early this year, without the TV tuner option. Now I want one. Rather than get a expresscard tuner, can I order just the tuner module that would have come with the laptop had I ordered it with one?

    I don't have a robson thing.

I looked into this as well, I was told the internal is analog which will
be obsolete in 2009. I was also told there is no plan for a digital internal version.

mmm go for a 50 euro external one or something. Ive got the internal one, and cant get it to work. Vista wont recognize, drivers wont install correctly, once I got it up to the point where I had a picture, but only noise as sound.

As you know, Vista plays policeman for the multimedia industry (isn't that so kind of it?) . It's deliberately coded to give you problems if your hardware is not approved by its masters (that's not you, btw, in case you had any doubts - don't think that just because you paid for it, it works in your interests). So sometimes even with legit hardware things don't work.

If you're running XP, PCIe express cards will work fine with digital. Azurewave is one that does both NTSC and DVT-B.

I ordered an AverMedia A301 (worldwide Analog, DVB digital terrestrial, and FM reciever) in eBay, but I have some issues with t, my laptop won't start up sometimes with the card installed, to start it up I have to remove it.
