I have the Sager NP9390 and when I first got it I setup the fingerprint scanner right away. It always worked well and I was logged in. Starting about 3 weeks ago I have been having such problems with it. I checked for updates and there doesn't seem to be any new updates. I also re-enrolled my index finger and middle finger just to make sure it had a good print. I have just not been able to log in using the finger print scanner within the last 3 weeks (without hassle that is). I can constantly swipe my finger over the reader for 2 mins straight and even sometimes after that is wouldn't take.

Does anyone else have these problems and is there anything I can do to fix this?

oh i sure am. but mines slightly different http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...ec-true-suite-fingerprint-reader-problem.html

only way i could get it to work was a system restore (actually quite a few) to before the problem started.
if youve got the authentec then there is no support for it as it looks like they've sold up and no one is bothering with tech help or forums anymore.

sager drivers arent much help Software Upgrade

but the fingerprint driver is on the clevo download page CLEVO - Download

it only lets you save a direct link which i dont like doing on forums so just search P37*SM

Rather than looking for updates, have you tried reinstalling the software? Hopefully it doesn't come to using a restore point, though that's viable if something was corrupt.

I have had issues with the scanner as well.. My solution was go to device manager. Uninstall finger print scanner. Reboot. Install fingerprint scanner.. reboot.. and it works again.. =)

but yeah.. the drivers are buggy.. and this happens to me every few months.. I have the NP9150 and it's a pain when it does not work.. XD

for me this was the first thing i tried.
the software actually worked for the swipe to log into websites but i dont use that. it was only the logging into windows on boot up that was missing even though it was ticked to use on bootup.

since the last restore on sunday its been fine and everything is working perfectly again.
