I am using the NP9170 and having the Intel Centrino Ultimate 6300 (which was pulled off from a Dell machine, so it is not a Lenovo version which is restricted to Lenovo Motherboard) and i am on Windows 8.
I want to ask if you are using the same wireless card and on a Sager Motherboard and want to ask what is your Driver Version.
Because mine right now are extremely unstable with any newer driver from Intel or Microsoft. The default driver that come with Windows 8 is the only version that it works the best (14.2.1.3)
Any newer drivers will either not able to connect to the wifi (while my smartphone can) , or it will just jumping and it is noticeable when playing Multiplayers like CoD ( ping jump from 60 to 300 for a brief of a second and then comeback normal).

Right now, i am not sure if it is the problem with the card, or the driver, or the network that i am connecting through. I am using the wireless system that has one SSID but with multiple routers, it could be a problem because the card could be confused when choosing the router to connect. I don't have a chance to test it with others network yet.

Please let me know if you are using one and please post what is your driver and your OS ( driver version is in the Device manager).
    Thanks.

Is the "Intel Centrino Wireless LAN Drivers for Windows 8 32/64 BIT" the one you are suggesting? (15.5.0.43)
It seem a little outdated because according to Intel site, the latest version that Both Windows Update and Intel release is on 15.6.1.6. I will uninstall the current driver and give this one a go.
