I am making a "acidic sweat guard" for my NP8170. Its basically 3M piant protection film CNC cut to cover wrist / palm area of the laptop.

Below you will find a layout measurement and a prototype cut from beige matboard (better contrast for illustration purpose). The actual paint protection film is going to be clear. Also, I might using Xpel brand (same grade) instead of 3M depend on availability.

Not a bad idea. You just planning on sharing the template or cutting and selling yourself?

    BTW, try using [spoiler]spoiler tags[/spoiler] or [image=600]your_image.jpg[/image]

This way it won't gobble the whole screen. With the image tag (not img) it will allow the user to click on it and see it full size.

    Thx.

Anyone with a ruler can come up with the template. Just drop me a PM and I will email to anyone who need it.

I ordered a roll of the Xpel protection film which is enough for 8-10 sheets. But thats about it. Not interested in making a business out of it lol

I was looking for something like this a couple weeks ago, for the trackpad area though. I've got a vinyl guy who could prob do it but haven't had the time to get by his shop.

If you do any for the pad area id be interested, plus probably the wrist area too at that point.
