Anyone orderec Cizmo CX1730M?

I would really like to hear more about this computer
They are already shipping with montevina.
So if anyone ordered it, or knows anyone who did, please tell us how you like it, montevina processors, etc.

 

this laptop isnt even out yet, although some people already own the previous versioun. Its pretty much exactly the same on the outside. the only difference is the inside parts. the 570 range (thats what this is) are top of the line laptops. you cant go wrong if your happy with the 17inch form factor.

 

If they're shipping with Montevina, then they've got something even better than that - they've got a time machine, because right now not even Intel is shipping Montevina - platform, chipset, or processors - and won't until July 14 (see Intel press release), which means that if Cizmo is shipping them now, they must be bringing them back from the future - post July 14, 2008 - in order to do so.

In which case, forget the notebook, I want the time machine.

 

During the week of July 14 Intel will also introduce processors and some chipsets for its next-generation mobile PC platform called Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology – formerly codenamed Montevina – for high-performance laptops. Intel's full line of chipsets and its Wi-Fi wireless product will ship in early August.

only the othe cpu's and the wimax wifi cards will take untill august to be released. the rest should be ready to be shipped to customers on the 14th

 

they had it in stock yesterday, and started to ship them today. I know this for a fact. First users should get it really soon.
And please don't spam with time-machine posts =)

 

please don't spam with "they are shipping it now" unless you can provide some sources.

The only way they would have CPUs is if they bought from Intel direct - if that were the case they wouldn't be selling them until the 14th as they wouldn't be able to break the NDA. If they don't buy direct they won't get the CPUs until the 14th, period.

And that's just the CPU front, let alone chassis. This whole Montevina thing seems to be getting out of hand......

 

really? they must not like me then. they actually told me not to send me my money because they didnt have the stuff in stock yet. I was to be emailed when they had the goods. no goods so far.

what rep are you dealing with? I find micheal is the only compitent one there. hes not with me anymore.... oh well, their loss.

 

this has been out of hand for months. there must be over 300 threads on this site just for the m860tu and thousands that talk about montevina.
