    generally, i dont see why not. back in the good ol' socketed mobile cpu days, there were several users around using ES and QS cpus in their machines. im guessing this would depend on microcode compatibility...

    Yes I have seen them work, they are designed for working for validation after all. However be aware it ES can often not be final silicon.
