    Ordered my laptop a couple days ago (spec in signature) just sorta wondering ahead of time if theres any settings I should adjust upon unboxing and initial launch?

    when you put games on it, set the settings quite a bit higher than on your old laptop :D. the 6990m will high / ultra anything you can throw at it.

    Remember to set the power mode to high performance and I don't mean the Windows battery meter setting, there is another icon that looks like a laptop in that right side task bar that needs to be adjusted. A lot of people complain they are getting poor performance, but did not notice that this needs to be changed as well as the Windows one.
