Hi, Just wondering if there any adjustments that you can make the speakers sound better on a NP8130 / NP8150 / or the like. I install the THX TruStudio pro software and I am wondering if you can adjust it to make it sound better. My speakers sound like a cheap mono radio.

It's not the volume up button. It activates the inhanced sound. Not Fn5 but Fn +5 (the number 5).

It does nothing on the 8130. Fn+5 works on the 8170 models to enable the subwoofer.

My speakers sound much, much better with the THX on than when it is off. Try listening to music/movies with THX on and then press the orange on/off button on the THX software and notice the difference. Maybe your THX is off in the first place?

The other thing to do is open your windows volume control (not the realtek but the old fashioned windows volume control with all the sliders). Click on the speaker icon above the first slider to get to speaker properties. Goto the 3rd tab which is enhancements. Turn on loudness equalization.

On mine it doesn't seem to find any Audio Device available. Maybe the Nvidia HD Audio overwrote something? :/

Nvidia HD audio? Do you mean the audio output via HDMI? Did you install and register the THX software and audio Realtek drivers correctly?
