Might be an out of the ordinary question but have been having issues and gone through a lot of hassle with my M860TU. Had a black screen on boot and 2 separate repair companies had me convinced that the graphics card (A 260M MXM 2.1) was at fault.

One of the companies even re-balled it but when that didn't work they said that I needed a new card. I purchased a replacement but there was still a problem and turns out that it was actually the motherboard which was at fault.

I currently cannot afford to replace the motherboard and thus I can't test to see if my original graphics card is still working. After all the hassle I've gone through with my laptop I've decided to cut my losses and I plan to sell off all it's individual parts in the near future, but I'm unsure if the 260M is functional and I don't really want to sell it to someone if it isn't. Is there any other way to test it?
