    did anyone buy sager directly from Sager distributor because i want to now if the thermal compound used also arctic silver 5

    It's typically an option when configuring the laptop and they normally charge you a few bucks for it.

    Another northern Illinoisan..alright!

    As Kagey said, you can get it pre-added as an option. Have no idea on how cost effective it is, but like anything I assume you can save a couple pennies by buying it and doing it yourself.

    yeah but i've see no option about using it in customize section like i saw in ecotic pc & is it dificult to do it by my self because never do it before

    It's not hard to do and there's several videos on google showing how to do it. plus AS5 has their own instructions on their website. You can also use your popular search engine to find it. How to Apply Artic Silver 5 or thermal paste.

    how often should you change your thermal paste? I replaced mine about a year ago.

    Depends on the paste. For example MX-3 does not have to be replaced before 8 years.
