I'm running an i7 2960XM and GTX 580m card and have noticed that if I tweak the nVidia driver settings to max everything through the CP, there are black dots and jaggedy lines along mountains and/or building edges where the meet the ground or staircases. I set everything to be application controlled and that managed to get rid of the artifacting, but I did read that someone else resolved the same kind of issue by rolling back their drivers. Has anyone else come across an issue like this? If so, how did you go about resolving it? It doesn't do that in other games, so I'm pretty sure it isn't a faulty card.

I've seen issues with the newest Beta drivers on highest settings in other games as well. If you're running Beta drivers, you may want to roll back to 280 or 275 drivers. They just may not have stability on all games at all settings. I personally rolled back to 280.26 and haven't had issues. Your mileage may vary based on your games though.
It could even be just that one game having issues not related to the graphics card or drivers. -
Sounds like a good idea, it's my first nVidia card, so I don't really know what to expect.

I'm on ati 6970 and last time I played Aion (2 months ago) I was getting mirrored lines across the screen, almost invisible, few lines left to right once in a while, could not fix it with any drivers.
