My new Sager NP9260 will arrive at my home tomorrow!

First of all i'm going to try and set up my wireless internet connection (always have difficulties with that). Then i'm going to put all my data (music,...) on my new laptop and configure everything to make my laptop more personal.

Any suggestions what i should do with my new laptop? What programs is should install? (i already have an anti-virus, NOD32).

    Thanks in advance.

    Anti-Spyware
    -Spybot or Ad-Aware
    Firefox
Your favorite music player (if it is not WMP)

If I think of more I'll post again, or edit this one.

It will be important to remember to not use AVG Anti Virus. Perhaps the problem didn't cross over to the D900C, but on other Clevo models there is an incompatibility issue that causes BSoD's when AVG is installed.

    Just use Avast instead

I'm not gonna use AVG, NOD32 is much better.

NOD32 or AVAST is what I would recommend for Clevo notebooks, AVG seems to have some compatibility issues when some recent models.

Yes. the Ad-Aware SE Personal and the Spybot are 100% free.

You might also want Zone Alarm or your firewall of choice.

    ...and some games!

    Hi,

I use NOD32 too and like it a lot. If you're looking for a firewall that in a sense is very much like NOD32, I suggest Outpost Firewall Pro. It uses very few system resources (almost no CPU usage, only 7 megs RAM) and is highly configurable.

As suggested, Firefox is good (though I prefer Opera)
    Media Player Classic & FFDshow
    Aston shell ! (I wish I'd get 25 cents for everytime I talk/write about it !)

Have fun with your new computer !
