I't has come to my attention that the laptops we own are most likely not Sagers. I've been speaking with Justin from xotic pc who's been helping me track down the real reseller of these laptops we own. I was pretty sure when I bought the laptop that it wasn't a sager considering all three of us do not have a sager badge, the one I have is the same as what you guys have. Justin recommended that I try this link on the sager website http://www.sagernotebook.com/warranty_check.php and my serial number did indeed not work. I you two would be so kind as to try this and see if you have a sager warranty that would help. I'm going to make a few calls tomorrow to sager and also to a few of the clevo resellers, because if it isn't a sager that narrows down pretty quick to who sells clevo bare bone models.

does this mean you got scammed?
or am i missing something
Also why don't you pm the dudes above...wouldn't it be easier? -
Narrows down to who? Who sells clevo bare bone models? I am not getting this one?

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
@bwhxeon:The warranty is from Clevo and not Sager as he said. And as for Chris and Ash snce they live in Spain and UK,it would be cheaper to fix it there than to send it back to US for repairs. As for mine,I dnt think any prblm is gonna happen.
I havent had any problms so far and is not bothered. -

Btw my mobile desktop rig is coming along nicely. Mostly been a hassle getting all the right parts for the system. Unfortunatly I couldn't find a lcd tv that was up to standard with what I wanted. Ended up using a 17" widescreen lcd. So far I've already gone through two watercooling revisions and I'm on my second gpu revision. The only component that isn't following the plan is the gpu. I decided for better cooling a full coverage waterblock would be the best idea, also to save space. Since there is no such thing as a universal full coverage waterblock, it will have to be swapped out with each gpu upgrade adding 60-100$ with each gpu upgrade.
The flip side to that is, the entire system can be contained and will run extremely cool. The case is in the design phase right now. I've had a couple of people tell me they would like to see it made out of carbon fiber, wich would probably put me over my 1500$ budget. The other option I'm looking at is using alluminum with a fiberglass wrap. While not as light, it will have the added benefit of helping dissapate heat.it's been a really fun project so far, I probably won't do anything fancy for the paint job right now, I'm thinking I want a black matt finish just to guarantee the paint will last long and can easily be touched up.

adding to thread....
mine came from rjtech.com and i have a blank notebook badge that i haven't put on. or at least i think i do.. ill look when it comes back. -
Doh! I suppose it would be a good idea if I paid more attention to the dates on the posts, wouldn't it.
-
speaking of updates.....sager said no on the bios update.

its not blank, its actualy a empty slot to put in a notebook badge, techinically you could buy one and call it whatever you want lol. The reason I was asking the others though is I don't recall seeing "Sager" on some of the laptops rambo sold. Mine included matched some of the badges that I did see. The end result though was my laptop came from Prostar.

now you got me wondering about that badge.. -

Warranty is probably almost up on your laptop anyways, so it doesn't matter anymore, unless you wanted to extend it. Rambo said on the previous page that the laptop carries a clevo warranty...which is some what true, but a warranty is no good if you don't know who to send it to. Anyways, you might want to look into that. I won't be back on till tomarrow
back to working on my labtop.

Overclocking requires extreme edition processors, and at this time none of the current extreme editions processors can be approved in the NP9262.
The manufacture will not make available support for the extreme CPU.

this is the return email i received.
so im assuming that they feel the heat generated by a 95 watt cpu surpasses their thermal budget.
heck, let me have my own bios & bios editor and im good...*LOL* -
