Attention Resellers of X7200 ( LID Inquiry )

i just wanted to ask if its possible for you guys to talk to sager for this option? or like buy a separate customized one for those who bought their x7200 already? im just asking because i dont wanna be stuck with the tribal logo, or sager logo, or origin logo, etc. i know its possible because sager and origin have their logo on the lid instead of the tribal logo. but what i dont know or wondering about is where they ( clevo or sager ) actually customize these lids, here in US or back in Taiwan. im hoping they do it here, makes a customized lid more possible.

hope to hear from resellers ASAP. and if possible, how much?

 

Ordering one with a custom graphic in place of the logo is typically not an option. Like you said they do make different ones for different resellers but can order these in bulk, they don't offer individual ones.

Some resellers offer custom graphics or skins that will cover up the whole back panel and you can use pretty much any design or image you'd like.

 

I know it's probably no option, but German reseller mySN sells (or used to sell?) their X7200 without any branding, which is pretty cool.

Edit: OK, I checked this review again and it looks like their X7200 has standard branding, too bad that tribal is very bad taste and does not fit the rest of the design...

 

With Sager models we can order them with standard branding, but in this case the standard branding is still a design.

 

thanks for the answer Hutsady! but how about buying an extra lid with default tribal branding? is that possible? if so how much?

you guys probably wondering why i want a lid so badly? well, stupid me, i tried to hard mod it. found out a few details. its actually better have someone do it, because i think the lid is built kinda complicated. im not sure but i think the plexi glass type is one whole solid peace and the 2 brushed aluminum lid parts are just on top of the plexi glass. how do i know all these? i broke the plastic part while trying to remove it!!! and when prying the middle part out the black part on the back will be white like coz of prying, so its going to be visible through the glass. so for now i used some 3m carbon fiber like vinyl to cover the whole lid.

it'll actually look cool at the right hands when hard modding this. i tried to cut some letters out of the vinyl and place it in the middle and viola! the letters are glowing but because it was hand cut it looks rough so i changed my mind and just covered the whole thing.

yep, i just want some custom logo or letters to be glowing on my laptop instead of the tribal, sager, origin, etc logo. something like.... PWNED! ALLPOWERFUL! or something like Shin Goku Satsu symbol! LOL

 

Well sounds like you had a really good idea, but hand cutting it probably wasn't

well ill try again when i can afford to buy 2 extra lids, one for just the default tribal and one for modding. thinking of it, i think its possible by scraping the black part on the areas thats covered by the blue lighting. then have some double sided tape and some custom laser cut vinyl prepared, then paste the vinyl. coz when you scrape the black part it'll be clear. ill post some pix of that later when i get home to show what i mean.
well hopefully if theres a lot of demsnd for this customization maybe clevo or sager will consider this suggestion. hopefully.
