This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     i am about to buy a sager 2090 from xoticpc and id just like to know from my fellow canadians, or anyone else who would like to share:

    1. if you ordered from xotic and how was your experience or if you have another reseller you would like to recommend.
    2. how much was it for your shipping and taxes
    3. did they use ups or fedex and how much were customs charges if there were any.

    im really concerned about number 3 because i heard ups charges a large amount for duties where as fedex does not at all? and xotic told me they would ship with fedex if i request it.

    1. I ordered from Sager's website.
    2. If I recall correctly, I only paid for the computer at first and everything else is paid with the custom charges.
    3. The custom charges (I think they include the taxe) and shipping came out to be a little over 300$ (which sounds about right for a 1800$ computer and the shipping for it). It was shipped with UPS.
