Hey everyone... I want to use my Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers at my dorm room with my laptop, and I was wondering if that would be at all possible with the stock audio inputs on the 8662?

If not, what do you guys think is my cheapest, best bet to get an external card, or an express card, or what?

if your speakers have SPDIF coaxial support, then the notebook should be able to output that with no issues using one cable.

if your speakers are using analog jacks... three of them (front, back, center/sub), then you will have to get an external sound card, or just live with the Front speakers.
