The audio output on my laptop is just excellent when using headphones. But when I plug in speakers, I have to put all the volumes at max to get a good output. Why is that? any1 else have the same issue?

    Thanks!

Are they powered or unpowered speakers?

Powered (through the sub), low output.
Unpowered (mono speaker only), low output too.
