With auto brightness turned on, when alot of whites are on the screen, the brightness turns up. When there are a lot of darks on the screen, the brightness turns down. This makes the screen too bright or either too dark. Is there a way or registry setting to make the screen darker when whites are on the screen and lighter when dark colors are on the screen?

If I were to go outside when it is sunny and I'm on a dark page, I won't be able to see shhhhhh.... lol.

If you cant find a solution you can turn off adaptive screen brightness in the advanced controls in the power options.

I'm bumping this because I have the same problem with Windows 8.1. In the intel HD graphics panel I'm set to Maximum Performance.

In the windows power save options I've disabled adaptive brightness on all profiles.

    Other options?

Thanks. I tried disabling adaptive brightness on all profiles.

When I'm plugged into an external monitor via HDMI, there is no adjustment, but when i'm using the built-in screen there still auto adjustment. Is there something else I'm missing? Some special Sager setting somewhere?

I don't know. I can't even attempt that with the intel driver, because I don't have intel.
