Hi, guys. I recently ordered a 9130 (About a week ago). My reseller told me the order could take up to 5 weeks o_O to process due to excessive amount of orders with the 7970M. :(

I can kind of understand why it may take up to 5 weeks, but what are the normal/usual build times? I'm a little worried because I won't be home after the 4th week, I don't want the laptop to show up on an empty doorstep. Plus it would suck for me to leave home for 6 weeks without some form of entertainment. (Military)

Any answers or info would be very appreciated!

I agree. I would be very surprised if it took anything close to 5 weeks.

Well my reseller told me that 5 weeks was the absolute worst case scenrio as there are a massive amount of orders with the 7970M, and that theh are short on parts. (Meaning there are some delays while they wait for parts to come in).
So they are saying even though my order is different (670m), I am still at the back of the line.

Do you guys really think the delay could be THAT BAD?
Or is the guy really telling me the unlikely worse case scenario?
I was expecting around 2-3 weeks. I absolutely must have the machine by July 7th before I leave for my air force base. That's 4 weeks I believe.

I just hope I get it in time...

The 9130 and the model your looking at has absolutely no relation to the 7970m, the motherboards aren't even the same, and neither are the chassis.

If the reseller told you that it could take up to potentially 5 weeks I'd hop off and goto another reseller as they should have it in stock and especially if you need it soon.

Agreed. Cancel the order and get it from someone else. 7970 delay shouldn't impact your order

That's what I was thinking, but they told me that orders are processed by date. Whoever ordered first gets it first. I would get it from another reseller but I am Canadian. Adding shipping fees, conversion rates and brokerage would kill my wallet. I'm thinking about it however...But they did say it "may" take that long and that is the worst case scenario. Still feels awfully long though.
