Yeah, I might give that a shot. Someone on a thread I put up asking for help is saying that since my BIOS still sees the card (and displays normally) I might need to try a "blind flash"? Any thought on that?

Anything that incorporates the word "blind" is not recommended.
    Thats my thought.
Others will share their opinions as well.

1st thing, Xotic has always offered a longer warranty option. When I got my 9280, I got the 3 year labour 1 year parts because it was cheaper, but 2 and 3 year parts/labour was there to buy. And I am certain they were there on the model that replaced mine, which is yours.
Secondly, my 9280 lasted a long time with me not even treating it great. I didn't clean it for a year and something. I didn't know I had to. As a result it got hot a lot and the GPU started failing after 3 years, but it was my fault. The machine gets hot and it doesn't hold stock gpu clocks without overvolting the GPU and at least one hard drive has a problem. But it's almost 4 years old now, and it still works, albeit not optimally. It's sturdy and I would go with a clevo again. Even if you don't particularly like Sager, there are other resellers like Mythlogic and Malibal etc. If you got bad parts, I'm sorry for you, but there's no way to tell before you get the machine, unless they were ALREADY BAD. For example, one of my hard drives failed in one month. The replacement got an error after over three years. The original second hard drive is still perfectly fine. You can't tell these things. If you don't like their warranty, then talk about their Warranty and customer service. DON'T blame their products for everything. You got a working machine, and it worked for a good while before problems occurred. And as people stated, the line of GPU you got has been known to have a high failure rate. It's nobody's fault it failed, unless you're lying about what you did with your machine.

Wierd that you guys are bringin up these bad 6990m's. I actually lost the one that came with my W860CU, That's why i upgraded to the 7970m. After about 10-15 minutes of load, it would just black screen and hang. I left it outside when it was -15F outside, so temps where not a issue. Sounds like a bad card. Just remover the bad 6990m and use a single one for now.
