I got a P151EM laptop. and I got the new bios from the FTP site of Clevo "ftp://ftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/P1xxEM/",

And I followed "Readme.txt". but I got an error at the 2nd step when I flash EC.

Yea that particular BIOS / EC update is not exactly the easiest thing to do, even with the readme. As its a VERY raw update aka high chance of a brick. If there isn't anything particularly wrong with your machine I wouldn't worry about it.

It refused to flash anything...Are you sure you have a P151EM and not P150EM board in there? Either that or you have a Sager BIOS...anyway you should contact your reseller and request the update directly from them.

    Thx guys, I am confused.

The BIOS file is right, and the laptop does be P151EM.

The new problem is that, I updated the BIOS for P150EM successfully.

OMG, IS MY LAPTOP with a P150EM MAINBOARD and P151EM SHELL???

Not a big deal, it seems they are the same board from the specs. You'd be lucky in a way if you had the P150EM as then you'd have the more powerful adapter (upgradable to 55W TDP processor), illuminated keyboard and faster vid card. If the 150EM BIOS works for you keep using it... IMO :p

    Really?

The SN on my laptop is "NKp151EMXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", and the power of my adapter is 120W, and the keyboard has no backlight at all.

I am so confused!!!!!!

You have a P151EM, the first BIOS revision of the P151EM uses the P150EM as a base, the newer versions of the P151EM BIOS are their own revision. You may run into problems down the road if you keep using the P150EM BIOS's as the EC is thermally tuned for different cards etc. Also if they ever update the backlit keyboard it may break the non-backlit functionality. Hence why I would leave it well enough alone :)
