    Hi everyone,

I been getting blue screen of death ever since my screen got cracked. (about an hour later)

    I bought a new screen from laptopscreen.com.
I ordered the exact model like it said on the back of my original screen but they gave me a different one LG LP156WD1 (TL)(A1).

They told me this screen is compatible but they might be lying. I am still getting BSOD after the new screen installation.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA'

    Blue screen message i get

Bluescreen occurs right after the screen that says window starting...

So far i tried system restore to earlier date, startup repair , safemode don't work, checked to see if memory sticks were loose( they were tightly secured)

    Startup Repair message:

    Problem Signature:
    Problem event name: StartupRepairOffline
    Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 03: unknown
    Problem Signature 04: 21200903
    Problem Signature 05: AutoFailOver
    Problem Signature 06: 18
    Problem Signature 07: 0x50
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID 1033

Do you guys think it's screen problem ( defective or not compatible?)

BSOD happend little bit about an hour after my screen was cracked.

Looks like a RAM or SATA controller failure, actually. I'd send it in for warranty, if you can. You might also be able to get them to put in the new screen aswell.

already tried to send it back but they asked me $400 bucks just to replace the screen. Because they said screen crack is accidental damage warranty does not cover it.

If you can start in safe mode, you could try installing it there using a usb device. Otherwise, it's probably just easier to completely reinstall windows.

I agree that the OS complete reinstall is the best option.

If you can get past POST and boot strap loader, then your screen is compatible. The problem lies within windows, otherwise your hardware wouldn't perform basic functions. Like if I change my 280M for a 480M it'll work, because my laptop supported the 480M before being discontinued. If I put in a 470M, 460M or 485M in it, it might not even start/I won't see anything on-screen

The screen should not give BSOD. In the worst case it can be disconnected and use an external one for testing.

What is the OS that the OP is using? Windows 7 has the ability to interact with the BIOS more often than the previous Windows versions. If it saved the old LCD configuration in the BIOS before the swap it may get confused, hence the kernel panic.

POST resets the stored information for anything newly installed... even if that were possible (I don't think it is), the BIOS would push the information that it is, indeed, a new screen. I think it's plainly his windows version.
