Getting BSOD when trying to enter windows. Bluescreen, blackscreen, lines, flickering and so on.

Clevo P170HM and amd 6990M gpu.

This is what i have done:

    - Clean installation of windows 8.1. Allso tryed the harddrive in another computer.
    - Baked the gpu in the oven. 200c for about 12 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vf6...m3MsOQ&index=1
After i baked the gpu windows worked fine for a few minutes. But then screen just went blue,
    - Ran windows 8 memory test. I do not know the result because it just sent me to a black screen after test was done.
    - Ran startup repair. I do not know the result because it just sent me to a black screen after test was done.
    - Checked so that the fans and temps are ok.
    - I have allso started windows i failsafe mode and it works just fine. Picture good and all in that mode.

    What i have not done:

    - I have not baked the motherboard.
    - I have not tryed to use an external screen. I do not have an external screen. And i guess theres no problem with the screen as i dont get bad screen in failsafe mode.
    - I have not flashed the bios or vbios at this time. Alltho ive done that about 6 months ago.
    - I have not stresstested the cpu. Is there a way of doing that thru usb/cd ?

Since it worked in safemode I would try Memtest86 to check your RAM and consider reformatting your hard drive or trying another one if you have one available in case its a Windows error. If you can run in safemode for a while you can install whocrashed to see whats causing your BSOD.

Yeah stick ultimate boot CD on a disc or a thumb drive and boot to that. Memtest as well as a number of other diagnostic tools can help you check for various problems. My vote is what Hutsady is on to and that's memory. If you have more than one stick you can pull all but one stick and see if the problem goes away, then replace the stick with the other and see what you get.

As an afterthought, I had mildly similar problems only with more video distortions and XoticPC helped facilitate Sager replacing the video card, although I'm fairly certain if you had any warranty it was voided when you stuck the card in the oven. Not saying I wouldn't have tried it too though.

Sorry it didnt work out the way you were hoping. I know things like that are difficult to diagnose and really frustrating since im sure you put a number of hours into it.
