The Bluetooth app loads up (ie I have the BT icon in system tray and can pair a device). but I can't get it to work with Jambox (it worked prior to installing SSD/new windows install). Device manager shows error for BT device when paired and I get a message near system tray that the device driver did not install correctly. I've reviewed a number of posts at Jambone but nothing has gotten this to work. In desperation,, I tried installing s/w from Sager drivers site but so far nothing helps. . trying to have windows find new driver doesn't help. Ideas?

It is turned on right? Try turning it off and on. It is integrated on your wireless card so maybe update the drivers straight from them.

it's on. the blue light is on and the sager sees the jambox but doesn't work. and of course it doesn't show up as a BT device in the sound panel like it should (audio devices>Playback)

What card is it? Do you have the Killer 1202? I had a similar issue with mine, and to resolve it, I did this.

Uninstall all Killer drivers and BlueTooth Suite.
    Restart
Go to the Killer website, and download 6.1.0.437 at the bottom of the page.
Install those drivers, and give the BlueTooth Suite an extra 5-10 minutes after the install window closes.
    Restart
Try pairing the device again, and see if it recognizes it as an audio device or a communications device. (Or both)
If it recognized it as both, go into the device settings, and you should be able to set it to be used as a speaker.

intel centrino 6230. I went to the intel site to get the very latest driver at the behest of Sager support. The BT radio, in device manager is still showing as Generic. In the Network adapter section the centrino driver version is now 15.7.03.

after uninstalling Jambox from BT devices, making it discoverable and attempting to re-add it, it says it pairs, BUT I get an error at the bottom of the screen that the device didn't install correctly. the details show that std serial over bt link is ok but the next two items fail: Bluetooth Peripheral Device (times 2). and that is the item that has a caution in device manager.

somehow I've got to make the BT Radio be the centrino driver and not the generic but it's not happening when updating the Intel centrino drivers.

finally fixed! Alan called me back from Sager and realized that while I had gone to the intel site, I didn't have the right driver! I would never have figured out that I needed a driver other than the Pro Set driver. thanks for your help. now I can relax. I hate when my main PC is not fully functional!! My old laptop is sooo slow that it's not much good for day to day use and the battery is bad so has to always be plugged in (not worth me buying a battery--it's an old toshiba with a lousy screen).

and u are right! it is a separate BT driver. that's what I didn't understand. Your link is precisely what I downloaded at Alan's direction. You both rock!! :)
