Wow that M570tu looks just like my Gateway Bestbuy special.

 

They do have a new NB with new Penryn and SLI 8800M, but should be the same design

 

But won't they be 3k plus, still...

 

These models are expected to be released by Sager shortly after Intel officially releases the new mobile platform. (since they will both be based off of it)

Any other 15" out there with that kind of res? Won't that be pretty small?

 

yea its really small, took me long time to get used to my IBM

 

another mobo upgrade.

for every single thing new mobo is required. they should re-think the way they do-things.

dell didn't have to have a Mobo Upgrade for the penryn's or 8800m gtx.

so they must be doing something right. and it shows that it can be done without a mobo upgrade. they must be thinking ahead.

clevo on the otherhand is lazy perhaps and does mobo ugprades because it is the easiest way to change hardware without doing much thinking for the future-proofing hardware they have.

and it's totally possible because dell has doneit/does it.

 

So if I understand this correctly, the M860TU and others will be Montevina and Penryn refresh based notebooks? If so, then this is great because hopefully by then i'll have my tax return (curse you Volt Services for loosing my W-2 not one, two but THREE times) and i'll have a real chance at getting one. Personally I like the idea of this Clevo. The Alienware's are nice, but I wouldn't like the idea of owning a theft magnet.

BTW, the m15x does have WUXGA, as do many other 15" notebooks in the past.

 

I thought they probably did but was too lazy to look it up.

Guess what I'm getting at is more of a question of whether or not that was too small for most people's comfort.

OTH, I have pretty good vision and like a large res in most cases.

 

You can choose which one to get between WXGA WXGA+ WSXGA+ and WUXGA.

The plate looks gorgeous with the speaker now on the both side (rather than previous model)

Hmm, i remember talking to a membor of PCMW, saying that if i wanted i could replace my notebook with a similair config of a 15incher at any time. I might based on the weight.................

Mainly mobility. 17" is everything but mobility.

But, I hope 1920x1200 on a 15" is a typo. Man, it's hurting my eyes on a 17" lol...

 

I´ll go tomorrow again and try if i could run Everest or CPUZ etc. to obtain more details.

 

So that means the chassis will also have to be replaced.

I do really hope that Clevo will offer to make the replacement for you, like they did last time.
