I was wondering, the backlight of a P150EM is gone, the user has swapped the panel, CPU and the backlight is still off even when booting before windows.

What could cause this? Only dead backlight controller or something else?

I'd imagine that the backlight is built into the actual LCD panel, so it could be that the panel you swapped in is defective.

nope because both the new and old panel didn't work.

Main board or cable issue. The cable is much cheaper and a bit easier to swap. Hopefully that's all it is.

If I'm not mistaken, the P150HM & EM cable is the same, LVDS, part number should be: 6-43-X5101-011-A
