Hi all, received my new p150sm a few weeks ago. Hotkey never worked though when the laptop turned on the keyboard was blue. I downloaded the custom backlit keyboard software for Clevo laptops "LightFX" and that worked for a couple of weeks perfectly. Then in stopped working. Whenever I tried to run it would come up with an error message with both english and asian writing on it. So I had to just run the keyboard with the default blue. And now, today, it's stopped lighting up completely!
Anyway I uninstalled hotkey and lightfx, downloaded the latest version of Hotkey (7.00.26) installed it, didn't work. Tried downloading latest version of LightFX and the same error message is coming up!

Any help would be really really appreciated!
    Thanks in advance
    Liam

    couple things to try:

-try ver. 8.0134 (you can get it here from sager's downloads, no difference from the clevo version)
-roll back to ver. 6.0100 ( here)
-make sure .net 3.5 is installed (with support for 2.0 onward)
-if you have to install .net anew, uninstall hotkey first and then reinstall it after .net installs

I tried the first two instructions but to no avail. On my list of programs it lists both .NET framework 1.1 and 4.5.
Should I uninstall both and download 3.5?
Thanks for your advice so far by the way.

You could always try a clean OS install as a last option...just saying.

option of last resort. 99.99% sure to work though.

OP, you could try that with .NET. i'm not even sure how the two interplay. i've just seen that advice given before. try anything else you can think of too.

Well I forgot to add I solved the problem of the keyboard not turning on immediately. It just wasn't turning back on after I'd had it in sleep mode. Restarting it didn't help for some reason but the next day after it had been shut down it worked. I still cannot get hotkey or the mod to work much to my frustration. If anyone else had any advice it'd be great!

Have you tried an EC reset by removing the AC and battery for a few mins?
