    Hi guys,

I'm currently looking for a backpack for my Sager NP5797. I noticed that not all 17" bags could fir a NP5797. Any suggestions on brand which can fit it?
Only brands I found as of this writing are booq and targus. TIA :)

Personally I have to throw in a vote for the Kinsington products.

I own a Kinsington Roller and another guy I know owns
the Overnight Roller which he fits the mighty 9262 into with a laptop sleeve.

Both have well survived cross country road trips, business trips, multiple airports, dropped, kicked, stuffed beyond capacity, and tripped over. So far I've never had a zipper tear and with the wheels and expanding hidden handle they become very easy to tow behind when you've got your hands full. The contour design is IMO probably the best feature since it doesn't bang up your leg when carrying the case around. The handles are also molded/offset so the weight is distributed very well even when packed heavy. The dark green mesh that the exterior is made out of is very durable compared to a leather or fabric only case. There's a fair amount of pockets that covers most anything you'd need to do.

That all being said, you're looking for a backpack which is a bit different, but I'd thought I'd throw my 10 cents worth of experience in for the brand.

If I were forced to get another bag (probably from new laptop size rather than somehow damaging the bag), the Contour line would be No. 1 on my list again. Very pleased with the overall design.

(...and just on a side note, I'm going to be buying a np5797 within a day or two if you'd like a
comparison of how it fits in a Roller bag.)

Booq Python XL. Don't let the higher price tag fool you, it's the best out there. Most space, more compartments, better qualty components... it just fits since we have one of the nicest laptops around, the Booq bags just "fit" right.
I had the Targus XL for a long time, the Booq blows it away in every category. Don't believe me though, read the reviews.

And the 5797 I have fits in it perfectly, along with my G9, G13, Grado's, etc.

@JGZinv: Thanks for your input. appreciate it very much. I checked kensington products and found 1 backpack that I like. The "Countour backpack - Skyrunner Backpack Notebook Case" however my problem with it, is if it can fit the NP5797 base on it's capacity dimension( http://files.acco.com/KENSINGTON/K62238A/K62238A-ukconsumer.pdf) it can't fit a NP5797 in. Please do give your comparison reg. NP5797 in a roller bag. TIA Congrats on your purchase with the NP5797. I like my unit very much! hehe

@Xith I also like the booq backpacks and yes the price is a little higher. I kind of like the BOA 3L. Is the python XL better? TIA.

This Python XL even matches your 5793 if you went orange and black. I'm really considering this bag. Thanks Xith.

    Edit -

I don't see how you are coming up with numbers that say it won't fit....

Kinsington's numbers on the Contour backpack model:
    Computer Compartment 11.5"L X 15.8"H X 1.9"W

Sager 5793 (same chassis as 5797) off Xotic's site:
    Size and Weight
    15.6" x 11.5" x 1~1.8"

Now if you remember that we're dealing with a vertical loading backpack...
not a horizontal loading bag... and move the numbers around...

    You get 15.8"H X 11.5"L X 1.9"W

The bag sleeve inside has elastic partitions... it'll fit.

    Edit -

What I would wonder... and you'd have to see if any of the reviews
show it... is if the laptop pocket unzips from the top inside edge. On both
    Roller cases it does.

Like I said before the other fella got a 9262 into the Overnight Roller which
is not designed to handle that big of a laptop (honestly nothing is... it's like a decent slab of granite). But you stick a laptop sleeve on it and put the combo in the hole left by the removable Kinsington laptop pouch... and there's almost another inch on both sides in my case. 2 if not more inches in thickness and depth (of the bag).

It may be next week before my unit arrives, if you can wait that long, not sure exactly on the time but it's been ordered.
