I recently recieved my Sager NP7358 (no OS), and after tracking down and downloading all the updated drivers, I'm still having problems with the audio. HD Vdeck refuses to open, and Sound Blaster Cinema keeps saying that the current audio device is disabled. When I don't use the programs, the sound produced from the speakers has no problems, but when I use the headphone jack, the audio sounds horribly unequalized.
Is there any way to fix this? I've tried installing and reinstalling Sound Blaster and Realtek drivers to no avail, and I don't know which VIA driver to get from here VIA Drivers and Support Packages Download (I'm running Windows 7 64 bit). Should I use some other driver?

You should have got drivers disc with your computer. Those are the ideal ones to use.

I used that for most of the drivers, but the audio one doesn't work. When I try it, it says "Sorry, the install wizard can't find the proper component for the current platform. Please press OK to terminate the install wizard."

Thank you, that fixed the sound. However VDeck still won't open and Sound Blaster says "The current selected audio device is disabled, not present, not supported by the application, or has unplugged jack connections. Do you want to select another audio device now?" Any way to fix this?
Also should I redownload the rest of the drivers from that link?

Don't have that specific model,. so someone will have to verify this, but on my NP8258, part of my sound devices was 'NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM). You have to manually add this as a legeacy device.

Device Manager -> Action -> Add Legacy Device (Under Sound, Video, and Game Controller)

That fixed some software into working with sound.

I already have the NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) under Sound, Video, and Game Controller; and a High Definition Audio Device there as well. Adding another doesn't seem to do anything.

Did you download the Sound Blaster software from Sager's site as well? We've seen this come up recently, but installing the latest version of the software allows SB to finally recognize the audio device.

Weird..and you're getting both the VIA audio driver, as well as the Sound Blaster software, from either the drivers disc or Sager's download page for your model?
