How much battery life will the NP8150 get with a 2720qm and 6970M and 95% gamut screen. I am hoping it lasts 3 hrs at 30% brightness and wifi off

I've read reports that the battery can push 3 hours and in some cases slightly over with the brightness on minimum and the Wifi off. This is with the 485M and if I remember right the 6970M draws less power (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). So at 30% I think you could probably get pretty close if not get a full 3 hours.

if it does, i can't imagine it would change you're number of cordless minutes by too much. shouldn't draw a bunch more power except maybe in the upper brightness levels?

3 Hours you can actually keep wifi on I think... You won't get much past 3.5 hours though.

2.5 hours you can get doing anything but gaming really, and your frames suck gaming on battery anyway so why would you?

Well gaming older games. But then it wouldn't be much of a power draw then anyhow. I tried Crysis 2 on battery with "high" settings and 1024x768 and it could actually play about 20fps. My battery meter barely budged, and temps remained 42-44C lol. So you could probably even game older games and not affect battery life by a whole heck of a lot because the power draw is restricted a lot even at maximum draw.

    Hi Guys,
how long is the battery life with gtx 460m compared to the 6970 in the np8150? the people claiming around 3 hrs here have as far as i know a 485m which consumes less power under battery saving settings compared to 6970 (clocks down better?). so i think 3 h is too optimistic. can anyone with a np8150 and 6970 confirm around 3 h of battery life?
Does anybody know the tdp of the np8150 idling with 460m?
