Maybe temperature problem. Check if the fans heatsinks/fans need cleaning...may need a thermal re-paste, too.

Is it not turning on at all? Does the screen brighten a little bit when the power is pushed? Anything displayed on screen at all that could indicate a POST error? I'd also vote for a thermal compound repaste on the CPU/GPU to see if that fixes it.

It's likely going to be temps as Prema suggested then. Entirely possible that the GPU burnt out. Was the system cleaned after the beeps or was it done prior to them?

This particular machine was before my time and so I am not 100% on this, but from the research I've done it appears the GPU is user replaceable. Hopefully somebody can shed further light on that but I don't think it'll necessarily require a full Mobo replacement. I'd reapply your thermal compounds first and see if that fixes the issue. If not you can look at getting replacements for the CPU/GPU if you want to attempt to find what's preventing the boot. Here is a GPU that I found on Ebay relatively cheap. Myself, I'd just look at replacing the unit altogether as that machine wasn't the best standard for performance when it was available and most midrange laptops today will far outpace this one.

Have you tried reapplying the thermal compound yet?

You just might be out of luck. Do you hear the fans spin up when the power is pushed? Anything besides the beeping?

depending where the cmos battery is on your model. then it just need removing for 10 seconds and replacing.
either in the base or under the keyboard. remove the baseplate first and look for a round battery.
