    Beeping then shuts off problem

    Sager 8760 i think
    CPU - i7-820
    Ram - 6gs ddr3
    Gc- radeon 5870
    HD- 300
    windows 7 Hp
    anyways I turn on my laptop it's beeps 3 times and like 1-5 min later it beeps for another minute straight and then it shuts off...
    Don't know how it started played a game one night, turn it off then the next night turn it on and the beeping games begin...

    Isn't that what it does when it over-heats?

    What do your temps look like? You can use HWMonitor to check them out. You will need an ati catalyst driver that is newer than the one sager ships with the laptop if you want to see your gpu temp.

    I had this issue before with mine. The beeps are related to overheating. Turned out it happened when my hard drive got over 55*C. Check to ensure your temps are within normal operating ranges.
