The Intel 6300 is a very good card. That would be a great choice.

    Hi I have a P150EM.
How difficult is it to change such a card? From the picture, it looks like a plug and play card. But is it really that easy?

That should be a great card. I've tried the Bigfoot Killer N-1103 & though it was pretty good, I've since switched back to the Intel Advanced N-6235. I prefer this to the 1103. The 6300 should be an even better card! But you won't get bluetooth. With the 6235, you'll get bluetooth as well.

Here, have a look at this post:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/694239-going-intel-6235-bgn-1103-a.html

The pictures are from a P170EM, but it should be more or less the same for the P150EM I'm guessing.

I recommend Intel to everyone. I am not a fan of Qualcomm or Atheros, have found their drivers to always be lacking and performance/quality to be sub-par. This Intel has been overall faster, and better signal etc than any Atheros I've had in the past, and many. I've also had issues with latency also, Atheros in the past, every single one, caused me to have massive spikes with latency, where I would have hiccups with my music streaming for example. I'll never use Atheros/Qualcomm again, since this wasn't an issue with just one card, but every single one. I've had the misfortune in nearly every laptop I bought came with Atheros and every one had latency and well overall crap problem.

TBH the only reason I think Atheros still exists is because they are cheap, just like Qualcomm makes cheap crap too. Cheap crap company buys another cheap crap company, wow, that sounds awesome to me :/

Yeah I've also never experienced trouble with the 1103.... Anywho, to change the wifi card you just pop off the back cover, unscrew the one screw (it may be 2) and detach the antennas. Plug the new one in and out the antennas back on and you're good to go.

Are u sure? I just checked and there is no wifi card on the back. I think its like in P170EM under keyboard. Under back cover i have only slot for TV card.
And one more question. How can i get 3rd anntena. What i know there are only 2 of them with stock wifi cards.

It's under the keyboard. You'll have to remove the panel just above the keyboard & unscrew the keyboard.

The 3rd antenna should already be there. It'll have some rubber padding around it & it won't be connected to anything.

Would you guys recommend an upgrade from 6235 to 6300? I only bought 6235 because it was the highest card with Bluetooth at that time. I've learned since that many of my Bluetooth devices has a hard time connecting due to lacking drivers and I've just done away with Bluetooth altogether. But now that I no longer use Bluetooth, is the 6300 that much of a jump from 6235? Is the extra antenna that much more effective?

BTW, for a guide on how to remove it, just click on my Intel 6235 link in my sig. Also, if the general consensus is that the 6300 is that much better, feel free to make an offer for my 6235. :)

The upgrade depends no where and how you use the computer wirelessly. If you're not having connection problems now the third antenna really wont help. Unless you're in a large area like school campus, hotel, airport often where you fell having the extra antenna would help out.
It can also transfer up to 450Mb/s vs 300Mb/s but you'll never see that for internet connection as most people have 7-15Mb/s, it would only help with your network transfer. So yah, depends on you.

Thanks for the reply. That answers my question. I'm always on wireless and signal hasn't been really a problem. I was just wondering if there was some real-world-usage advantage over my 6235. Thanks.
