Not sure if this is violating any rules, so I'm just gonna suggest you do the search for the Q9100 on eBay.

They have a QX9200 for $280 with free shipping. Better deal IMO considering it's an E0 revision and has unlocked multipliers.

The Q9200 on eBay, though they aren't QS, do have temp sensors.

I'd buy one if I could sell my T9800.

What are the reasons not to buy engineering samples? And what does QS mean and how does it different from an ES?

    - Intel would be very upset.
    - Perhaps one of our seasoned residents can shed light on this.

Because they are pre production versions of their production counterparts, using different stepping s. Resellers will [IMG]
tell you they are not meant to be sold and they are just for review/testing and are not safe to use. I've always looked at them as the cream of the crop that are sent out to reviewers. They used to be highly sought after because sometimes they would have unlocked multipliers, not sure if that is still true or not now though.
